HIT

Project HIT (HYPERSPECTRAL IMAGING OF TEXTILES) tackles one of the key dillema's in T2T recycling: sorting. Textiles often consist of various interwoven materials, and the technology is particularly lacking in the rapid, automatic recognition of this composition. Recognition is essential because each composition requires a different recycling process/sorting stream. This project will develop an innovative method to determine textile composition on a conveyor belt using hyperspectral Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR) cameras and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Project SPORTS – Sustainable Production of Recycled Team Shirts – aims to test and develop a fully closed-loop system for polyester sportswear, thereby significantly reducing material use and CO2 impact.

Circular Bedroom

The Circular Bedroom Project will develop new circular alternatives for various materials and prototype box springs and bed models, develop a developed and validated disassembly process for box springs and bed models. The project also aims to validate a combined mechanical and chemical recycling process for circular textile waste streams, as well as the validation of the reuse of recycled textiles into new textiles.

Pesco-Up

The ambition of PESCO-UP is to transform the textile recycling industry by creating new raw materials from mixed wastes. It addresses the circularity across the textile recycling value chain, and reduces the industry dependency on virgin materials.
